Type Locality: Australia, Queensland, Palm Isl.

Vernacular Names: Allied Rock-wallaby.

Synonyms: Petrogale puella Thomas 1926 .

Distribution: C Queensland, from Townsville southward to lower Burdekin-Bowen Rivers, northwest to Croydon, southwest to Hughenden and Mt. Hope; Palm Isl, Magnetic Isl.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc). Locally common.

Discussion: P. lateralis / penicillata species-group.
