Distribution: Ghana, N Dem. Rep. Congo, Sudan, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia.

Conservation: IUCN 2003 and IUCN / SSC Action Plan (2001) – Lower Risk (nt).

Discussion: plicatus species group. Apparently does not include shortridgei , see Peterson et al. (1995). See Fenton and Eger (2002), but note that they included shortridgei in this species.
