Alavi and Kamali (1995) recorded the species for the first time from Iran without information on the plants from which the species was collected. Subsequently, Alavi and Kamali (2003) provided the following details: two females from flowering Carum carvi (Apiaceae) View in CoL , and ( Alavi et al. 2007) recorded the species from barley in Gorgan. This is a widespread Holarctic species, and in the collections of SMF there are specimens from the following areas: Norway, Sweden, England, France , Germany, Austria, Italy, Spain, Hungary, Moravia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece, Istria, Georgia, Mongolia, Canada, USA (Wisconsin).

Material studied. IRAN, Golestan Province, Gorgan, Chahar-bagh , 1 female, from barley, 6.v.1998 (Jalil Alavi) .
