Material examined: USA: Pennsylvania, Erie Co., 4.ix.1981, E. Masteller leg. 1♂. (coll. RW) Tennessee, Cocke Co. 14.viii–10.ix.2001 G. Curler leg, 4♂. (coll. ZMUB).
Remarks: Perithreticus bishoppi does not occur in the Afrotropical region, and was examined in this study for the purposes of revising the genus diagnosis and providing a differential for the diagnosis of the new species.
