REMARKS. Another of the Peruvian Fidicinoides species with infuscation along the ambient veins of the fore wings and hind wings. The infuscation is found on all crossveins and veins between apical cells in the fore wings in F. descampsi as it is in F. duckensis Boulard & Martinelli, 1996 , F. poulaini Boulard & Martinelli, 1996 and F. pseudethelae Boulard & Martinelli, 1996 . It can be distinguished from F. brunnea by the more robust body, and the infuscation is continuous through the fore wing crossveins and proximal marginal veins. It can be distinguished from F. duckensis by the male timbal cover not reaching the metascutellar plate, the pointed medial opercular margin, the larger apical spine in the fore femur, and the uncal crest and lateral uncus lobes being about the same length and thickness. It can be distinguished from F. poulaini by the rounded posterolateral margin and pointed medial opercular margin, and the longer uncal crest that does not start to broaden at the base. It can be distinguished from F. pseudethelae by the lack of a piceous marking in the pronotal ambient fissure, the male timbal cover bending mediad at the apex, the rounded posterolateral margin and pointed medial opercular margin, the larger apical spine in the fore femur, and the uncal crest and lateral uncus lobes being about the same length.

DISTRIBUTION. The species has been reported previously from Colombia ( Sanborn 2013) with recent records expanding the distribution to include Bolivia ( Sanborn 2019b).
