Frons with two shiny dark brown to black lobules, located in lower corners, between lunule and eye margins. Lunule high arched, with pair of subtriangular black pruinose spots. Parafacial with tufts of long and strong setae, almost as long and stout as the ocellar setae. Gena lacking upturned genal seta. Dorsocentral setae 1+3, with presutural and anteriormost postsutural dorsocentral setae weaker (as weak as ocellar setae), and 2 posteriormost postsutural dorsocentral setae situated in posterior 1/4 of mesonotum; prescutellar acrostichal seta present. Prescutellum absent. Scutellum with 2 pairs of stout setae, disc lacking setulae. Mid tibia with 3 stout ventral spurs, medial one stouter. Wing vein C extended to vein R 4+5; costal spinules extended to vein R 2+3; auxilliary veins on distal part of R 4+5 (into cell r 4+5) and on basal part of M 1 (into dm cell).

Adults ♂, ♀. Body length 4.48–5.74 mm.

Holotype ♂. Body length 4.48 mm.

Head ( Figs 3–6 View FIGURES 3–8 ). Height 2X length; width 2.7X length and 1.11X wider than high. Eye about 1/3 higher than long, eye with posterior edge rounded. Ocellar triangle dark brown, with dark brown pruinosity, posterior ocelli slightly farther apart than distance between one of these and anterior ocellus; ocellar setae stout (as stout as, lower fronto-orbital seta). Postocellar setae divergent, as long as ocellar setae and bordered by slightly smaller setulae arranged around a large dark brown to black rounded spot contiguous to ocellar triangle. Inner and outer vertical setae present, stout, subequal in length, placed together on a subtriangular spot of dark brown pubescence. Postcranium slightly concave in dorsal view, with yellow pubescence and with one row of postocular setulae on dorsolateral margin with dark brown to black supracervical setulae. Frons ( Figs 4, 6 View FIGURES 3–8 ). 1.94X wider than long, dark yellow, with small dark reclinate setulae. Fronto-orbital plate gold-yellow; with 3 fronto-orbital setae, ventral pair inclinate and 2 upper pairs reclinate, with bases of ventral pair closer together than either dorsal pair; covered with reclinate setulae from level of ventromost seta to level of postocellar setae, bare in upper part to vertical setae. All fronto-orbital pairs with oblong alveolae slightly depressed, darkened lip in same direction as setal orientation; fronto-orbital, ocellar and vertical setae each with base whitish. Lunule 0.32 mm high, arched; 0.86X height of frons length; lunule yellow with small whitish-yellow pruinosity bands above antennal bases, above which are two subtriangular black pubescence spots covered with dark very thin and sparse setulae. Antenna entirely yellow, including first aristal segment, remainder of arista brown and pubescent. Face concolorous with the whitish-yellow band above the antenna with deep dark brown antennal grooves below. Gena with 5–6 strong setae, none upturned; genal groove area (below eye) concolorous with yellow part of the lunule, with sparse pubescence, and with dark setae near edge of face. Postgena yellow with whitish-yellow pruinosity. Oral vibrissa moderately stout, as stout as setae along genal margin, and with several additional slightly smaller subvibrissal setae below and above, including a patch of larger setulae near parafacial margin. Palpus dorsoventrally flattened, yellowish, with sparse dark setulae. Clypeus and labellum pale yellow; labellum with golden setulae.

Thorax ( Figs 3, 6 View FIGURES 3–8 ). Mesonotum setulose; yellowish with gold-yellow pruinosity; with brown medial vitta, faded posteriorly to middle postsutural dorsocentral seta; distinct brown spots at the bases of setulae in the line of dorsocentral setae (most intensely in the presutural area), and in the area from and in front of presutural supra-alar seta; brown pruinose along the posterior edge of transverse suture. All macrosetae with alveolae rounded. Chaetotaxy: 1 postpronotal (in addition to a few setulae anteriorly); 1 prescutellar acrostichal (as stout as middle postsutural dorsocentral seta) (along with several additional enlarged setulae); 1+3 dorsocentrals, presutural and anteriormost postsutural dorsocentral setae weaker (as weak as ocellar setae), and two posteriormost postsutural dorsocentral setae situated in posterior 1/4 of mesonotum; 1 presutural and 1 postsutural supra-alar; 1 postsutural intra-alar; 1 postalar (with additional 2–3 very small setulae posteriorly); 2 notopleural. Prescutellum absent. Scutellum with 2 pairs of macrosetae, lacking setulae on disc. Proepisternum with two setae. Anepisternum with setulae dorsally and posteriorly, in addition to posterior setae. Katepisternum with 3 setae along dorsal edge, medial seta weaker.

Legs. Coxae dark yellow to light brown, yellowish gray pruinosity. Femora dark brown, except middle femur dark yellow to light brown on the anterodorsal surface, all femora yellow on the distal tip, whitish gray to yellowish gray pruinosity. All tibiae yellow with dark subbasal and subapical rings, areas yellow with yellowish gray pruinosity and areas dark with brownish gray pruinosity; mid tibia with 3 stout ventral spurs, medial one stouter. Tarsi with 1st tarsomer slightly longer than the 2nd and 3rd together, except the middle tarsus with 1st tarsomero about 2X longer than the 2nd and 3rd together. Hind tarsus about 2X shorter than the anterior tarsus. All legs with setae and setulae black, except for yellow-orange setulae row on anteroventral surface at distal 2/3 of anterior tibia.

Wing ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 3–8 ). Vein C extended to vein R 4+5. Costal spinules extended slightly beyond R 2+3. Auxilliary veins on distal part of R 4+5 (into cell r 4+5) and on basal part of M 1 (into dm cell). Membrane slightly infuscated, strongly darkened along cells r 1 and r 2+3; dark spots along r-m, bm-m, dm-m crossveins and around auxiliary veins of veins R 4+5 and M 1, and fork of Rs. Halter yellow.

Abdomen / Male terminalia ( Fig. 8 View FIGURES 3–8 ). Tergites predominantly yellow with yellow gray pruinosity. Syntergite 1+2 uniformly yellow; tergites 3–5 each with 2 pairs of large paired brown pruinose spots dorsally, encompassing anterior edges of tergites; covered by dark setulae slightly longer at posterior margin of each one. Syntergosternite 7+8 ( Figs 9–11 View FIGURES 9–14 ) sclerotized, asymmetrical, triangular, right-sided vertex, almost completely offset to the left, bare. Epandrium subglobose, with appearance of an arc, anterior ½ bare, setulose in posterior ½, wider than long; with posterior margin raised in the middle, where vertical cerci are inserted. Surstylus fixed to epandrium, but with a clear point of weakness, appearing as being articulated. Cercus small, setulose and directed to below.

Male genitalia ( Figs 12–14 View FIGURES 9–14 ). Hypandrium Y-shaped, almost 3X longer than maximum width, about ½ length of phallapodeme, apparently without any concavity, extended under phallapodeme and phallus. Phallapodeme rodlike. Phallus bulbous and membranous, covered with tiny spicules. Gonocoxal apodeme not sclerotized, appearing membranous. Pregonite broad, appearing membranous.
