Descriptive notes. Head-body 57 mm, tail 42.5 mm, ear 16- 5 mm, hindfoot 12 mm, forearm 49 mm (all from type specimen) and 49-7-53- 5 mm (three specimens). Overall coloration is dark orange, with blackish hair bases and darker tips. Muzzle is short and pointed, with slightly tabular nostrils. Ears are relatively short and narrow, orange with blackish rim and notch on back just below pointed tip; tragus is long and tapered, with straight front margin and triangular lobe at posterior end. Interfemoral membrane and portion of wing membrane between humerus and posterior limb are deep orange,as are tibiae, fingers, and upperparts of feet; antebrachial membrane and portion of wing membrane between fingers and tail tip are deep black, without any blotches or dots, as are thumb,sole of foot, toes, and nails; wing membranes are attached at base of toe; end of calcar projects freely. Skull has distinct frontal depression, moderately developed sagittal and lambdoid crests, and posteriorly elongated supraorbital region. C' has base wide but not very high; P? is much reduced in size,fully or partly displaced lingually, and is accordingly obscured or visible in lateral view; P, occupies half the basal area of P, at most, and is situated within tooth row; I’ without internal cusp. Condylo-canine length 16:9-17- 6 mm (three specimens); maxillary tooth row 7-2-7- 5 mm.
