Material. This is the smallest of the three species of albatrosses found at Ahl al Oughlam. Its measurements correspond closely to those of the Recent P. nigripes ( Table 2), and are larger than those of Phoebastria aff. P. immutabilis , and those of the extinct P. rexsularum , from the Yorktown Formation (Olson & Rasmussen, 2001).
