Holotype: BMNH 1894.11 .14.11 (90 TL), central Fromosa.
Remark. This is an endemic species from Taiwan. Novák et al. (2006) wrongly put this species in the synonymy of Formosania lacustre . Chen & Fang (2009) recognized it as a valid species.
