Current name: Crinum americanum L. View in CoL ( Liliaceae / Amaryllidaceae ).

Note: Lehmiller (in Herbertia 49: 58-66. 1994) provided a detailed review but, wrongly, did not admit the Clifford collection as original material, concluding that Commelin’s t. 15 must be regarded as the lectotype. Wijnands’ choice of the Clifford sheet has priority.
