Comments. All key synapomorphies of Microperus are present, and the species was placed in Microperus with 100% posterior probablility within the phylogeny ( Cognato et al., 2011). It is one of the smallest Microperus (1.1–1.6 mm), with antennal club type 3, flat elytral disc, and without spines or rugosities on elytrae except a few granules on declivity (which may be absent).
