Four of the five subfamilies of Echimyidae considered in this study ( Adelphomyinae , Eumysopinae, Echimyinae and Myocastorinae ) do not appear monophyletic in our results; by contrast, the fifth subfamily, Dactylomyinae , does have its monophyly corroborated.
