Remarks.
Junior homonym of Melanopsis transiens Blanckenhorn, 1897. Pallary (1920b) introduced Melanopsis cerullii as replacement name. Girotti (1972: 232) considered the taxon as a junior synonym of " Melanopsis affinis Férussac”, which is, however, not an available name.
