Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan ( Hoberlandt & Švihla 1990a; Ghahari et al. 2010c), Fars ( Hoberlandt & Švihla 1990a), Guilan ( Linnavuori 2007), Khorasan ( Modarres Awal 1996a, 2008; Hoberlandt & Švihla 1990a), Tehran ( Hoberlandt & Švihla 1990a; Linnavuori 2007), West Azarbaijan ( Hoberlandt & Švihla 1990a).
General distribution. Ponto-Mediterranean: Greece (Lesbos), Azerbaijan, Armenia, Iraq, Turkey (Asian part).
Comments. Another subspecies, C. fenestella subsimilis Horváth 1917 . occurs in Central Asia and India.
