Notes: ―The designation of the collection De Winter & Giess 6284 (Distr. Lüderitz-Süd, 30 miles S of Aus on road to Witputs, 12 September 1958) as paratype of Salsola arborea does not appear to have been designated formally, yet it is filed as such for vouchers LE-00011778!, M-0107439! and M-0107440!.

Distribution: ―Namibia: Etosha, Kaokoveld, Augab Dist., Lüderitz Bay, Sperrgebiet; South Africa (NC): Augrabies, Little Karoo, Namaqualand.
