Holotype: MCZ 28567 View Materials .

Type locality: Monte Marahuaca (1,524–1,829 m), Estado Amazonas, Venezuela .

Distribution: Region 5. Cerros Duida and Marahuaka to the Upper Orinoco, Amazonas State.

Remarks: Little is known about this species beyond its original description. An additional specimen was reported by Rivero (1964b), and a male was described by La Marca (1997).
