Aceria querci ( Garman, 1883)

Distribution – USA ( Garman 1883).

Material examined – Twenty-seven (27) females and five males collected from the leaves on Persian oak trees, Quercus brantii Lindl. (Fagaceae) , Faculty of Agriculture, Lorestan University , 14 June 2018 ; Lorestan Province, Iran. This mite caused brown erinea on the underside surface of host plant leaves .

Remarks – Until now, A. querci was only reported from the USA on bur oak ( Quercus macrocarpa Michx. ) ( Garman 1883; Briones and McDaniel, 1976). The characteristics and habitus of the Iranian specimens are completely in consistent with what Briones and McDaniel (1976) reported.
