Barsine pardalis ( Mell, 1922)

Type material examined. Holotype ( Fig. 9 ): female, “M [Man-tsz-shan] 12.IX.[19]13” / “ Type ” / “ China ex coll. R. Mell ” ( MfN) . Paratypes: 1 male, M [Man-tsz-shan], 4.IX. / Paratypus / China ex coll. R . Mell , gen. prep. No.: AV2888 (prepared by Volynkin) ( MfN); 1 female , M [Man-tsz-shan], 12.IX.[19]13 / China ex coll. R . Mell , gen. prep. No.: AV2889 (prepared by Volynkin) ( MfN) .

Remark. The type specimens have labels with locality data abbreviated as “M”. According to the documentation on the Mell’s collection stored in MfN, this abbreviation should be interpreted as “Man-tsz-shan” (=Mahntsishan, currently Mt. Maozifeng, Nanxiong City, Guangdong Province).

Distribution. Known only from Southern China (Guangdong Province and Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region) ( Mell 1922; Kishida & Wang 2017, as B. miranda ).
