The alexanderi View in CoL group

This group of species is characterized by wing with section R4–R5 longer than twice length of section R5–M1, and second palpal segment inserted dorsally on first, forming an angle. Hypandrium with posterior margin rounded, slightly narrowed medially; cercus same length or longer than gonocoxite; spermathecae bottle shaped with a rounded base and a narrow and elongated apex. All species of this group were described in the genus Lastauroides , which was synonymized with Neodiogmites by Artigas & Papavero (1988). During this review we found new characters that, in addition those proposed by Carrera (1949), allow us to separate these species in a group inside Neodiogmites .
