Type Locality: Madagascar, Antsiranana Prov., Vohima.
Vernacular Names: Rufous Nesomys.
Distribution: Broadly distributed in montane forest, 900-2300 m, from the Northern Highlands to the southern Anosyenne Mtns, E Madagascar.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
