Acanthoderes (Scythropopsis) virescens ( Fuchs, 1962) View in CoL transfer
Fig. 1
Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) virescens Fuchs, 1962: 323 View in CoL . Psapharochrus virescens View in CoL ; Monné, 2005: 214 (catalogue).
The flattened tibiae and the antennae shorter than the body in both sexes are the most remarkable characters of the subgenus Scythropopsis Thomson, 1864 View in CoL . The transfer is proposed based upon examination of the photograph of the female paratype (CHSV) and two specimens from MNRJ.
Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) virescens is very similar in colour and structure to Acanthoderes (Scythropopsis) albitarsis Laporte, 1840 , largely distributed in east and south Brazil.
Specimens examined. PERU, Huánuco: Rio Huallaga, female, I.1985 (L. Peña) (MNRJ). Junin: Chanchamayo, female (MNRJ).
Geographical distribution. Peru.
1, Acanthoderes (Scythropopsis) virescens (Fuchs) , paratype female; 2, Eupromerella griseofasciata (Fuchs) , holotype male; 3, Acanthoderes malleri Fuchs , holotype male = Hedypathes curvatocostatus Aurivillius ; 4, Acanthoderes (Psapharochrus) minuta Fuchs , holotype male = Melzerus difficilis (Melzer) ; 5, Oreodera flavopunctata Fuchs , holotype female; 6, Oreodera hassenteufeli (Fuchs) , holotype male.
