Type data: Holotype female (MSVE). Examined.

Type locality: Mapiri , Bolivia.

Comments and Diagnosis. S. humerale was described by Giordani Soika (1990) and is quite different from previously recognized species in the genus ( S. allegrum , S. testaceum and S. imitans ). The sparse punctures of the pronotum and mesepisternum ( Figs. 18 , 21 ); the lateral margins of T1 not completely fused ventrally ( Fig. 30 ); and the flat, little developed pre-apical fossa of T1 ( Fig. 31 ) are a set of distinctive features of this species ( Hermes & Ferreira, 2016, p. 124). In addition, this species has large body size and melanic coloration ( Fig. 2 ) that resembles species of Pachymenes ( Hermes & Ferreira, 2016) . Type Material. Bolivia, Mapiri: holotype ♀ ( MSNVE), ‘Mapiri\Bolivia’ ‘60’ ‘64’ ‘velutinum\ Ducke’ ‘ Holotypus \ Stenosigma \ humerale ’ (red label) ‘clipeo’ (handwriten label). Bolívia, Coroico: allotype ♂ ( MSNVE), ‘Coroico\ Bolivia’ ‘ ♂ ’ ‘ Allotypus \ Stenosigma \ humerale ’ (red label) ‘clipeo’ (handwritten label).

Collecting Records. Bolivia (Mapiri, Coroico).
