Edelithus qinming Lin & Li , sp. nov. ( Figs 21–22 View Figure 21 View Figure 22 , 45C View Figure 45 , 46E–F View Figure 46 )

Etymology. The species is named after Qin Ming, one of the 108 outlaws in the classical Chinese literature Outlaws of the Marsh; noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. For the diagnosis of the males, see the diagnosis of E. huyanzhuo Lin & Li , sp. nov. The female is similar to E. puer Liu & Li, 2022 by having the copulatory openings located in the middle of the epigynal plate. However, the female can be distinguished from E. puer by the long and straight spermathecae (vs. C-shaped).

Description. Male (holotype). Total length 2.38; carapace 1.17 long, 0.96 wide, opisthosoma 1.21 long, 0.71 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.08, ALE 0.07, PME 0.05, PLE 0.07, AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.01, PME–PME 0.09, PME–PLE 0.06, AME–PME 0.08, ALE–PLE 0.06. Chelicerae with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I 4.27 (1.14, 1.51, 1.03, 0.59), II 3.49 (0.94, 1.19, 0.81, 0.55), III 3.11 (0.83, 0.96, 0.78, 0.54), IV 4.49 (1.19, 1.35, 1.20, 0.75). Leg spination: I femur 3pv, tibia 6pv, 7rv, metatarsus 4-4v; II femur 1pv, tibia 6pv, 5rv, metatarsus 4pv, 3rv.

Coloration ( Fig. 46E View Figure 46 ). Carapace yellow-brown, edge black. Chelicerae, endites and labium yellow. Sternum paler yellow. Legs yellow-brown with black setae. Opisthosoma oval. Spinnerets yellow-brown.

Palp ( Figs 21 View Figure 21 , 45C View Figure 45 ). Femoral apophysis weak, with shallow groove. Patella as long as wide. Retrolateral tibial apophysis large, thick, curved, bent at tip, longer than tibia. Dorsal tibial apophysis shorter than retrolateral tibial apophysis, with broad base and small, hook-shaped tip. Cymbium almost two times longer than wide. Bulb oval. Sperm duct V-shaped. Conductor lamellate, membranous, touching base of embolus, expanded medially. Embolus long and slender, expanded basally.

Female (IZCAS-Ar43886). Total length 2.47; carapace 1.16 long, 0.94 wide, opisthosoma 1.31 long, 0.91 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.06, ALE 0.07, PME 0.04, PLE 0.06, AME–AME 0.01, AME–ALE 0.02, PME–PME 0.09, PME–PLE 0.08, AME–PME 0.05, ALE–PLE 0.04. Chelicerae with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I 4.02 (1.04, 1.49, 0.98, 0.51), II 3.28 (0.88, 1.13, 0.79, 0.48), III 3.11 (0.70, 0.90, 0.75, 0.48), IV 4.38 (1.14, 1.36, 1.19, 0.69). Leg spination: I femur 3pv, tibia 6pv, 7rv, metatarsus 4-4v; II femur 1pv, tibia 6-6v, metatarsus 3-3v.

Coloration ( Fig. 46F View Figure 46 ). Similar to that of male except paler.

Epigyne ( Fig. 22 View Figure 22 ). Epigynal plate rectangular. Copulatory openings obvious, at middle of epigynal plate. Copulatory ducts inconspicuous, covered by bursae. Bursae large, almost round, covering nearly half of epigynal plate. Spermathecae long and slender, three times longer than fertilization ducts. Fertilization ducts directed at clock 12:00 position from spermathecae.
