Edelithus huyanzhuo Lin & Li , sp. nov. ( Figs 17–18 View Figure 17 View Figure 18 , 45A View Figure 45 , 46A–B View Figure 46 )

Etymology. The species is named after HuYan Zhuo, one of the 108 outlaws in the classical Chinese literature Outlaws of the Marsh; noun in apposition.

Diagnosis. The male of the new species is similar to E. qinming Lin & Li , sp. nov. by the long and slender embolus and the hooked dorsal tibial apophysis. However, the new species can be distinguished from the latter by the embolus lacking a spine-like tip (vs. present in the latter) and the retrolateral tibial apophysis is straight and triangular (vs. curved and clavate in the latter). The female can be distinguished from all congeners by the long and slender copulatory ducts.

Description. Male (holotype). Total length 1.88; carapace 1.02 long, 0.85 wide, opisthosoma 0.86 long, 0.51 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.07, ALE 0.07, PME 0.05, PLE 0.08, AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.00, PME–PME 0.06, PME–PLE 0.04, AME–PME 0.06, ALE–PLE 0.05. Chelicerae with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I, II lost, III 2.90 (0.76, 0.89, 0.76, 0.49), IV 4.21 (1.07, 1.32, 1.12, 0.70).

Coloration ( Fig. 46A View Figure 46 ). Carapace yellow-brown, edge black. Chelicerae yellow. Endites and labium yellow-brown. Sternum yellow. Legs brown with black setae. Opisthosoma oval, dark brown, covered with black setae, with numerous yellow-brown spots. Spinnerets yellow-brown.

Palp ( Figs 17 View Figure 17 , 45A View Figure 45 ). Femoral apophysis weak, with shallow groove. Patella as long as wide. Retrolateral tibial apophysis large, triangular, as long as tibia and dorsal tibial apophysis. Dorsal tibial apophysis with broad base and small hook-shaped tip. Cymbium three times longer than wide. Bulb oval. Sperm duct V-shaped. Conductor lamellate, membranous, touching base of embolus. Embolus almost as long as conductor, filiform, basally curved.

Female (IZCAS-Ar43860). Total length 2.33; carapace 1.01 long, 0.83 wide, opisthosoma 1.32 long, 0.85 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances: AME 0.05, ALE 0.06, PME 0.05, PLE 0.06, AME–AME 0.03, AME–ALE 0.01, PME–PME 0.07, PME–PLE 0.05, AME–PME 0.04, ALE–PLE 0.03. Chelicerae with three promarginal and four retromarginal teeth. Leg measurements: I 3.21 (0.84, 1.09, 0.80, 0.48), II 3.05 (0.83, 1.04, 0.73, 0.45), III 2.64 (0.70, 0.80, 0.70, 0.44), IV 4.01 (1.07, 1.26, 1.04, 0.64). Leg spination: I femur 3pv, tibia 6pv, 5rv, metatarsus 4pv, 3rv; II femur 1pv, tibia 6-6v, metatarsus 4pv, 3rv.

Coloration ( Fig. 46B View Figure 46 ). Similar to that of male except paler.

Epigyne ( Fig. 18 View Figure 18 ). Epigynal plate rectangular, copulatory openings small. Copulatory ducts almost two times longer than bursal diameter. Bursae oval, anteriorly located, separated. Glandular appendages transverse, directed laterally. Spermathecae oval, medially located. Spermathecal ducts almost as long as spermathecae. Fertilization ducts as long as spermathecal length, directed at clock 1:00 position from spermathecae.

Material examined. Holotype ♂ (IZCAS-Ar43850), Vietnam: Ninh Binh, Cuc Phuong National Park, Shrub land, Pitfall traps, 1–30 September 2007, Dinh-Sac Pham leg. Paratypes. 5♂ 5♀ (IZCAS-Ar43851–Ar43860), same data as holotype .
