This species is widely distributed in W Africa, having been recorded from Guinea ( Chopard 1954), Sierra Leone, Cameroon, Gabon, and “W Congo ” ( Beier 1962).

Material examined. — Liberia: Monrovia (6°18'N, 10°48'W) – 1 male ( MCZ); Cameroon: Barombi Station, leg. S. Preuss— 1 male (syntype) ( ZMHB); Gabon: Sibangefarm, leg. R. Büttner— 1 female (syntype) ( ZMHB).
