Distribution. FRENCH GUIANA, GUYANE, BRAZIL (Bahia, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, S„o Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), ARGENTINA (Misiones), and PARAGUAY (Alto Paraná). Here we recorded it for the RPPN Sanctuary of Caraça.
Material examined. BRAZIL, Minas Gerais, Catas Altas , RPPN Sanctuary of Caraça, Trilha Banho do Belchior , 20°6’51.96”S 43°29’34.44”W, 1271 m, Malaise, male, 18–23.xi.2022, Monné, M.L. leg. ( MNRJ-ENT7-47243 ) GoogleMaps .
Diagnosis. This species is recognized by the following combination of characters: pronotum with slightly prominent posterolateral elevations toward the median tubercles; elytra with longitudinal carinae evident, with patches of dense and salient white setae irregularly distributed; region between elytral basal-crests covered with dense light brown setae also covering the scutellum, forming a circum-scutellar macula; meso- and metafemora glabrous on inner surface ( Souza & Monné, 2013: 329, figs. 101, 102).
