9. Galactia eriosematoide s Harms (1903: 27). Type: — BRAZIL. Goiás, Glaziou 20902 (holotype F![photo], isotype P). ( Figs. 4A View FIGURE 4 , 5C View FIGURE 5 )

Shrub up 1.3 m tall; leaves pinnately trifoliolate, basal leaves sometimes unifoliolate; petiole absent or up to 10 mm long; inflorescence longer than the leaf that subtends it, flowers aggregated at the apex of inflorescences, with wine red coloured insect guides on the outer surface of the standard petal.

Selected specimen: — BRAZIL. Goiás: Caldas Novas , 17°44'S, 48°41'S, 11 January 2009, G. B. Ceolin 167 (ICN) .

Distribution: —Endemic to Brazil (GO, MG).

Habitat and ecology:—Cerrado biome, growing in shrubland, on plains, at elevation of 500–1000 m, in red clay and sandy soils.

Phenology:— flowering and fruiting from December to May.
