Agonocryptus argentinus Gupta, 1982 . Original description, subspecies assignment, female, keyed, map.

Agonocryptus argentinus: Yu et al., 2006 . Catalog.

Variation. Scutellum and metascutellum black ( vs. reddish-brown); fore, middle, and hind coxae and trochanters dark brown to black ( vs. reddish-brown, with a few fuscous marks).

Comments. For this species, Gupta (1982) describes quite well the morphological variation, sometimes even identifying specific variations for specimens of some localities.

Distribution. Argentina ( Fig. 18D ).

Material examined. Total of 2♀. ARGENTINA, 2♀,?, Entre Rios Province, Pronunciamento , 2?, 50 m, 32°20’47.17”S, 58°26’36.75”W, 1963-12, 4?, CNCI .
