Variation. Prepectal carina reaching 0.90–0.95 of distance to subtegular ridge (vs. reaching subtegular ridge); second recurrent vein meeting areolet at middle (vs. apical 0.3–0.4); first and second intercubiti about same length (vs. first intercubitus shorter than second); nervellus intercepted a little above its middle (vs. at middle); wings apically light infuscate (vs. hyaline); hind femur dorsally light brown (vs. black); hind tibia basally blackish (vs. entirely yellow); T3 basally blackish, centrally light brown, apically yellow ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ) (vs. basally black, apically yellow); T4–8 basally light brown ( Fig. 4F View FIGURE 4 ) (vs. black).

Distribution. Mexico (Cordoba, Nuevo Leon, Orizaba, Quintana Roo NR, San Rafael, Sinaloa NR, Tamaulipas, Vera Cruz, Veracruz, Yucatan) ( Fig. 18H View FIGURE 18 ). Bootstrap analysis suggests that this species occurs typically between 100–500 m, like most Agonocryptus spp. ( Fig. 20B View FIGURE 20 ).
