( Figs 3A–C View FIGURE 3 , 19B View FIGURE 19 )

Description. Holotype FEMALE. Fore wing 8.50 mm. Body rather stout, mesosoma maximum length, height, and width 1.9:1.1:1.0. Face finely striate. Clypeus smooth. Malar space aciculate. Frons and vertex smooth and shiny. Occipital carina ending near but not reaching hypostomal carina. Pronotum, including pronotal sulcus, sparsely and minutely punctate, smooth and shiny in between. Mesoscutum smooth and shiny, except posteriorly longitudinally rugose and sparsely punctate; notaulus formed by foveolations. Mesosoma otherwise nearly smooth, with a few tiny, scattered punctures. Propodeum basad of spiracle with crowded punctures. Areolet 1.5 × as wide as high, with second recurrent vein meeting areolet at its apical 0.2. Nervellus intercepted at its upper 0.3. First abdominal segment 2.0 × as long as its maximum apical width. First sternite 0.4 × length of first tergite. All abdominal tergites shiny, impunctate; tergites dorsally nearly glabrous except seventh apex and eighth distinctly pilose. Ovipositor 0.67 × the length of abdomen.

Color. Black with yellow marks; abdomen reddish brown. Scape entirely black. Flagellomeres 5–10 whitish, except 5 th basally and 10 th apically brownish. Head black with wide yellowish orbital band, interrupted ventrally. Face centrally with large, rectangular yellowish mark; clypeus yellowish except black apical margin. Thorax black, pronotum with three yellow spots, an elongate one on its upper margin, a small one anteriorly, and a large spot ventrally; propleuron apically with small dark yellowish spot; middle lobe of mesoscutum posteriorly with roundish spot; scutellum, postcutellum, tegula, subtegular ridge, speculum, dorsal division of metapleuron, large oblong areas on meso- and metapleurum posteriorly, and large inverted T-shaped mark on propodeum, yellow. Fore coxa dorsally pale yellow, ventrally black, remainder of fore leg yellowish except two apical tarsomeres brown. Mid and hind legs from coxa to femur reddish brown, their hind tibiae and tarsi yellow, except four apical and two apical tarsomeres brown, respectively; mid leg dorsally with yellow spot. Wings weakly infuscate, with distinct central and apical brown stripes. First tergite basal 0.3 and apical 0.2 yellow, centrally black; other tergites entirely reddish brown, except apical tergite darker apically.

Variation. Scape ventrally with one small yellow spot; second recurrent vein meeting areolet at its apical 0.3; propleuron apically with large yellow mark or entirely black; mid coxa with inconspicuous yellow spot or entirely reddish brown; first tergite centrally brownish.

Male. Unknown.

Comments. This species runs to A. erugatus Gupta in the key provided by Gupta (1982), and is in fact morphologically closest to that species, from which it can be separated by having the fore wing with two brown stripes (vs. hyaline in A. erugatus ), areolet 1.5 × as wide as high (vs. 1.3), recurrent vein meeting areolet at its apical 0.2 (vs. at middle), pronotal sulcus polished smooth (vs. with wrinkles), and tergites 2–8 fully reddish brown (vs. second tergite with a triangular basal yellow mark, an apical yellow stripe, and two irregular yellow spots on sides, also with two triangular and linear black marks between the yellow and brownish color of the tergite, and third tergite basolaterally with an elongate black mark and two yellow spots).

Etymology. From the Greek glaphyros, meaning smoothed, polished, finished, pretty.

Distribution records. Known from Colombia ( Fig. 19B View FIGURE 19 ).
