Notes

New record for Greece. One specimen, Elafonisi, Crete, 35°16'20.7"N, 23°32'15.9"E, 1 m depth, fine sand, collected in the framework of the MEDCORE project (unpublished data from Papageorgiou et al. 2006). Literature used for identification: San Martín (1984), San Martín (2003). In the Mediterranean also known from the western Basin ( Musco and Giangrande 2005), otherwise distributed along the Atlantic coast of North America.
