TYPE LOCALITY: Not given. Fixed by Gray (1843:48) as " Sumatra " [ Indonesia] .

DISTRIBUTION: China, Indonesia (Sumatra, Rhio-Lingga Arch., Bangka Isl, Borneo, Karimata Isl, Sulawesi, Buru, Amboina), Cambodia, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand. Introduced to many SE Asian Islands.

SYNONYMS: lankavensis Robinson and Kloss, 1920.
