Clinopodes escherichii (Verhoeff, 1896)

Material. 1 female ( ZMMU Rc 8433), Turkmenistan, Kugitang [Mt. Range], Hodzha-Pil-Ata [N37°56'35", E66°36'10"], 1300 m, under stones, 24.IV.[19]84, coll. VY ; 1 male ( ZMMU Rc 8431), Kopet-Dag [Mt. Range], Kara-Kalinskiy district, lower Ai-Dere [river valley, ca. N38°24', E56°44', Sunt-Hasardag Nature Reserve], 800 m, 10.IV.[19]89, coll. VY .

Distribution. Mostly the Eastern Mediterranean Region ( Bonato et al. 2011; Chipman et al. 2013; Dyachkov et al. 2022).

Remarks. The genus Clinopodes and C. escherichii are new to the fauna of both Turkmenistan and Middle Asia.
