World distribution.
Asia: AE, BH, CY, EG (Sinai), IL, IQ, IR, JO, OM, SA, SY, TR, YE. Europe: GR. North Africa: EG. According to the Palaearctic catalogue Trachyderma philistina occurs east of the Arabian Peninsula also in Iran and in the ORR region ( Löbl et al. 2008). However, the known distribution of species indicates its absence from Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India. The only record available from western India apparently is by Kaszab (1982). This record is a misidentification and Kaszab (1982) did not specifically mention this species from Afghanistan (W. Schawaller, personal communication, February 29 2016).
