Note: —An examination of this material reveals little differences among the specimens, and as such all three are synonymized. The species has some similarity to the foliage of P. attenuatum and P. sylvaticum . From the first one, it differs in the nature of the bract being peltate orbicular and from the second, in the form of leaf base being shallowly cordate and the very short spikes which are more or less equal in length to the petioles.
