Syringophiloidus weiszii Skoracki et al., 2001: 30 View in CoL , figs. 1–8. Skoracki 2011: 79, figs. 55 and 56. Types deposited in AMU, examined.

Type host: Lanius excubitor Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Laniidae ). Type locality: Slovakia.

Additional material. Six females and 1 male (FMNH uncatalogued) from Lanius ludovicianus Linnaeus ( Passeriformes : Laniidae ), USA: Georgia, Wayne Co., 6mi. N. W. Jesup, 20 March 1969, coll. W. T. Atyeo, H. Proctor & J. B. Kethley, all material in FMNH; 2 females (AMU-SYR.760) from same host species, USA: Texas, Johnson Co., 21 March 2004, coll. G. S. Spicer (field no. GSS 1995), all material in AMU.

Host and distribution. Lanius excubitor Linnaeus (Laniidae) from Slovakia (Skoracki et al. 2001) and L. ludovicianus Linnaeus [new host] from USA ( Georgia, Texas) (present paper).
