Prope Maracandam et in Caucaso. Unspecified number of Ƌ and ♀.

Lectotype Ƌ (designated by Vickery & Johnstone, 1970: 1747) with labels: “Samarkand” [printed in Cyrillic characters on a strip of white card]; “Ƌ Turkest., M H. d. Sauss.” [handwritten on ruled white card]; “ Nemobius tartarus Sss. ” [handwritten on yellow paper]; “ LECTOTYPE, Nemobius tartarus Saussure, 1874 . Designated by Vickery & Johnstone, 1970 ” [handwritten on red card with “TYPE” printed]. Specimen set with wings folded; the right antenna, the right middle leg and the tarsi of both hind legs are missing. There are also one Ƌ and one ♀ paralectotype in the collection. Box A5.
