Pimpla destructor Smith, 1874 ; primary homonym of Pimpla destructor, 1863 ; junior synonym of Apechthis capulifera ( Kriechbaumer, 1887) View in CoL .

Taxonomic history. The specific name ‘ destructor ’ is preoccupied by Pimpla destructor Smith, 1863 , therefore, Dalla Torre (1902) proposed the replacement name Pimpla japonica Dalla Torre, 1901 ; moreover, Morley (1914b) also proposed the same replacement name for Pimpla destructor Smith, 1874 and transferred the species to Apechthis View in CoL ; Förster, 1869, but the replacement name (i.e. ‘ japonica’) is a secondary homonym of Apechthis japonica (Dalla Torre, 1901) View in CoL .

Current taxonomy. Junior synonym of Apechthis capulifera ( Kriechbaumer, 1887) ( Ichneumonidae : Pimplinae : Pimplini ).
