Type Locality: Perú, Cuzco Dept., Machu Picchu, 12,000 ft (3658 m).
Vernacular Names: Gracile Thomasomys.
Distribution: Andes of SE Perú, about 2750-4300 m.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Formerly included cinnameus and hudsoni as subspecies or referred synonyms (Cabrera, 1961; Musser and Carleton, 1993, respectively), forms reinstated to species by Voss (2003).
