Remarks: Joung et al. (1989) reported the first record of this species from Taiwan waters, but no new specimens were collected during the current survey. DAE examined a specimen during a survey in April-May 1988. It appears to be relatively rare in Taiwanese waters.

Conservation status: Least Concern.
