Vernacular Names: Saharan Shrew.
Synonyms: Crocidura agadiri Vesmanis and Vesmanis 1980 ; Crocidura gouliminensis Vesmanis and Vesmanis 1980 ; Crocidura tiznitensis Vesmanis and Vesmanis 1980 .
Distribution: Atlantic coast of Sahara; south of Agadir ( Morocco) through Western Sahara into Mauritania.
Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (lc).
Discussion: Recorded as whitakeri from Western Sahara by Heim de Balsac (1968 e). Reviewed by Hutterer (1987).
