Listropsoralges monodelphis Fain, 1965: 23 , figs. 14, 16; Fain and Lukoschus 1970: 50, 1979: 389; Bochkov and Wauthy 2009: 274, fig. 3.
Redescription. MALE (paratype). Body 185 long and 130 wide. Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields with ornamentation. Propodonotal shield 60 long, covered by punctate pattern. Setae si more than 10 times shorter than se. Hysteronotal shield 90 long, anterior quarter of this shield covered by small unsclerotized lacunae, other part of this shield covered by large unsclerotized lacunae irregular shape. Setal alveoli c1 absent, setae cp minute, only 1.2 times longer than c2, setae f2 strongly thickened. Setae e1 represented by microsetae. Posterior margin of hysteronotal shield without concavation. Venter. Retrorse spur of coxal fields III weakly developed. Fleshly-like projections bearing setae h2 and h3 present. Diameter of adanal suckers about 7. Opisthosomal lobes not developed. Legs. Legs III about 100 long. Legs IV about 35 long. Lengths of setae: si 7, se 90, c2, c3, d2, e1, h1, ps2, ps3, 3a, 4a, 4b, and g —all about 4–6, cp 7, e2 10, f2 25, h2 110, h3 60, ps1 55, 1a 9, ω 1 I and ω 1 II about 18, ω 3 I 17, φI and II about 30, φIII about 15, φIV 4, σ 1 I 16, σII 5, and σIII 4.
FEMALE. Unknown.
FEMALE TRITONYMPH (2 paratypes). Idiosoma 180–190 long and 130–140 wide. Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields fused and homogenously ornamented. Setae se 45 long, about 9 times longer than si. Setae d2 and e2 located on hysteronotal shield. Pair of distinct orifices (probably glands) present dorso-laterally at level of leg III insertions. Legs. Pretarsi III absent. Small fold near leg IV absent.
MALE TRITONYMPH (1 paratype). Idiosoma 160 long and 120 wide. Similar with female tritonymph but setae se 14 long, 2.5 times longer than si.
Type material examined. Male paratype and 2 female and 1 male tritonymph paratypes ( IRSNB) from Monodelphis dimidiata ( BMNH #06.29.16.17), BRAZIL: Sul Region, Parana State, Palmeria , 25°28'S, 50°00', coll. unknown .
Holotype deposition. Holotype male (not examined) is deposited in BMNH .
Host range and distribution. This species is known only from the type host, Monodelphis dimidiata from Brazil (Palmeria) ( Fain 1965) .
