Redescription. FEMALE (3 paratypes). Body 250–260 long and 175–185 wide. Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields without ornamentation. Propodonotal shield about 70 long. Setae si about 4 times shorter than se. Hysteronotal shield 65–70 long. Setal alveoli c1 absent. Setae e1 represented by minute setae. Posterior margin of opisthosoma without nipple-like median projection. Venter. Epigynum 55–60 wide. Setae 1a and 3a slightly thickened, 3 wide in basal part. Setae 4b and 4a subequal. Opisthogastric shield 65–70 long and 54–57 wide. Setae h3 not thickened, 1.3 times longer than setae ps2 and ps3. Legs. Genua I and II with distinct ventro-antiaxial retrorse spur. Setae d I slightly shorter or subequal to solenidion ω 3 I. Legs III about 85 long. Pretarsi III strongly reduced, only remnants of ambulacral stalk present. Legs IV moderately developed, about 60 long. Pretarsi IV with strongly reduced ambulacral disc. Setae e IV about 1.7 times shorter than f IV. Lengths of setae: si 11–13, se 48–55, c2 10–12, cp 16–20, c3 6–7, d2, e1, e2, f2, h1, and ps1 —all 6–12, h2 160–175, h3 12–14, ps2 8 and ps3 9–10, 1a 40–45, 3a 30–35, g and 4b 8–7, 4a 4–5, w1 I and II 22–25, ω 3 I 23–24, φI, II about 50, φIII about 25, φIV 7–8, σ 1 I 30–35, σ 1 II 9–11, and σIII about 7.

MALE (holotype). Body 200 long (210 in one paratype) and 150 wide (145). Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields without ornamentation. Propodonotal shield 60 long (65). Setae si about 6 times shorter than se. Hysteronotal shield 85 long (80). Setal alveoli c1 absent, setae cp only slightly thicker than c2 and c3, setae f2 slightly thickened. Setae e1 represented by minute setae. Posterior margin of hysteronotal shield narrowly concavated. Venter. Retrorse spur of coxal fields III distinct. Fleshly-like projections bearing setae h2 and h3 absent. Diameter of adanal suckers about 10. Opisthosomal lobes about 20 long. Maximum distance between opisthosomal lobes 30. Legs. Legs III about 110 long. Legs IV about 35 long. Lengths of setae: si 6, se 35 (37), c2 18 (19), cp 20 (22), c3 12 (14), d2, e2, and f2 —all about 15, e1, h1, ps2, and ps3 – all 8–9, h2 135 (140), h3 33 (35), ps1 27 (25), 1a 12 (11), 4a, 4b and g —all 3–5, 3a 8–10, w1 I and II 23–25, ω 3 I 22 (24), φI and II about 50, φIII about 15, φIV about 10, σ 1 I 35 (33), σII 10 (9), and σIII about 7.

Type material examined. Male holotype, 1 male and 3 female paratypes ( IRSNB) from Caluromys lanatus, BRAZIL: Parana,? Inkar,? Lako , 21 July 1925, coll. unknown .

Holotype deposition. Holotype is deposited in IRSNB .

Non-type material examined. One female ( IRSNB) from Caluromys philander, SURINAME: Welgedacht, 9 August 1971, coll. F.S. Lukoschus and N.J. Kock; one male ( UMMZ BMOC 76-0823 - 002 View Materials )) from same host, BRAZIL: North Region , Para State , Belem, Utinga forest , 19 June 1968, coll. B.M. OConnor.

Host range and distribution. This species is known from hosts of the genus Caluromys, C. lanatus from Brazil (Parana) ( Bochkov & Wauthy 2009) and C. philander from Suriname ( Bochkov & Wauthy 2009) and Brazil (Para) (present paper).
