Type material examined. Male holotype ( UMMZ BMOC 81-0128 - 002 View Materials ) from Thylamys venustus ( UMMZ 156021 View Materials ) [posterior lateral body], BOLIVIA: Tarija, 4 km North (by road) Cuyambuya, Fabrica de Papel , 980 m, 7 January 1980, coll. G.K. Creighton.
Holotype deposition. Holotype is deposited in UMMZ .
Etymology. The species name is derived from the generic name of the host and is a noun in apposition.
Differential diagnosis. This new species differs from Listropsoralges caluromys by a few following features. In males of Listropsoralges thylamys sp. n., the body length is 155 (vs. 200–210 in L. caluromys ), setae cp are 40 long (vs. 20–22 in L. caluromys ) and 3.6 times longer than c2 (vs. 1.1 in L. caluromys ).
Host range and distribution. This species is only known from the type host, Thylamys venustus from Bolivia (present paper) .
