Listropsoralges faini Bochkov and Wauthy, 2009: 274 , fig. 3. Redescription. FEMALE (specimen from Marmosa murina View in CoL ). Body 230 long and 145 wide. Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields with monotonous ornamentation. Propodonotal shield 65 long, with punctate pattern. Setae si 7 times shorter than se. Hysteronotal shield 140 long, covered by small unsclerotized lacunae. Setal alveoli c1 absent. Setae e1 represented by short setae. Posterior margin of opisthosoma without median projection. Venter. Epigynum 40 wide. Setae 1a and 3a filiform, not thickened. Setae 4b and 4a subequal. Opisthogastric shield 43 long and 48 wide. Setae h3 not thickened. Setae ps1 and ps2 1.5 times shorter than h3. Legs. Genua I and II with distinct ventro-antiaxial projection each. Setae d I slightly (1.2 times) longer than solenidion ω 3 I. Legs III about 80 long. Pretarsi III well developed. Legs IV moderately developed, about 50 long. Pretarsi IV moderately developed. Lengths of setae: si 13, se 93, c2, d2, e2 —all 13–17, cp 31, c3, f2, h1, and ps1 —all 6–8, e1 3, h2 120, h3 16, ps2 and ps3 10, 1a and 3a 30–33, 4a, 4b, and g —all 5–7, w1 I and II about 21, ω 3 I 19, φI 35, φII 45, φIII 16, φIV 16, σ 1 I 32, σII 8, and σIII 8.
MALE (holotype). Body 155 long (160 in one paratype) and 100 wide (110). Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields with monotonous ornamentation. Propodonotal shield 60 long (65), covered by punctate pattern. Setae si almost 9 times shorter than se. Hysteronotal shield 72 long (75). Setal alveoli c1 absent, setae cp slightly thicker than c2 and c3, setae f2 slightly thickened. Setae e1 represented by microsetae. Posterior margin of hysteronotal shield widely concavated. Venter. Retrorse spur of coxal fields III distinct, rounded apically. Fleshly-like projections bearing setae h2 and h3 absent. Diameter of adanal suckers about 8. Opisthosomal lobes about 10 long. Maximum distance between opisthosomal lobes 14. Legs. Legs III about 80 long. Legs IV about 30 long. Lengths of setae: si 7, se 60, c2, c3, d2, e1, e2, f2, h1, ps2, ps3, 4a, 4b, and g —all 6–8, cp 27 (25), h2 85 (90), h3 19 (22), ps1 48 (50), 1a and 3a about 10, w1 I and II about 20, ω 3 I 17 (18), φI and II about 40, φIII about 15, φIV 7, σI 16 (15), σII 5 (6), and σIII 4 (5).
FEMALE TRITONYMPH (1 specimen). Idiosoma 185 long and 150 wide. Gnathosoma . Ventral retrorse spurs of subcapitulum with 2 apices. Dorsum. Dorsal shields with homogenous ornamentation, distinctly separated from each other. Humeral shields present. Setae se 65 long, 4 times longer than si. Setae d2 located on margin of hysteronotal shield, setae e2 located off hysteronotal shield. Legs. Pretarsi III present. Small fold present near leg IV.
Type material examined. Male holotype and 1 male paratype ( IRSNB) from Marmosa murina , VENEZUELA: Managas State , 5 August 1966, coll. unknown .
Holotype deposition. Holotype is deposited in IRSNB .
Non-type material examined. One female ( IRSNB) from Marmosa murina (IRSNB) , FRENCH GUIANA: 1955, other data unknown; 12 males, 7 females and 1 female tritonymph ( UMMZ BMOC 06-0926 - 005 View Materials , # 1-19 View Materials ) from Marmosa regina ( MUSM 33437 ) , PERU: Loreto, Maynas, San Juan Bautista, El Triunfo, km 48 carretera Iquitos-Nauta , 120m, 04°09'07"S, 73°27'59"W, 30 January 2004, coll. W. Sanchez ( WSL #179 ) GoogleMaps .
Host range and distribution. This species is known from hosts of the genus Marmosa , M. murina from Venezuela ( Bochkov & Wauthy 2009) and French Guiana (present paper) and M. regina from Peru (Loreto) (present paper).
