Type material exmined. Syntype: ♀, ‘Type [p, round white label with red margin] // Perydeniya, / Ceylon, [p] VIII-1900 [hw, white label] // Distant Coll. / 1911–383. [p, white label] // grandis / Dist. [hw, white label]’. Pinned through scutellum; left antenna and right antennomere 4 missing.
