Artoria ligulacea ( Qu, Peng & Yin, 2009) View in CoL

Figs 7–8 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 , 11 View FIGURE 11

Hygrolycosa ligulacea Qu et al., 2009: 71 , figs 1a–c, 2a–d (♂ ♀).

Artoria ligulacea: Li et al. 2012: 40 View in CoL View Cited Treatment , figs 4A–I, 5A–E (♂ ♀).

Diagnosis. This species resembles A. parvula Thorell, 1877 ( Figs 9–10 View FIGURE 9 View FIGURE 10 ), but can be distinguished from the latter by the distal end of median apophysis somewhat like the head of a cobra snake, with bent tip ( Figs 7A–B View FIGURE 7 , 8D–E View FIGURE 8 ), whereas distal end curved triangular with ventrally bent tip in A. parvula ( Figs 9A–B View FIGURE 9 , 10D–E View FIGURE 10 ), basoembolic apophysis longer than wide, highly sclerotized ( Figs 7A, C View FIGURE 7 , 8D, F View FIGURE 8 ), whereas almost round and not sclerotized in A. parvula ( Figs 9A, C View FIGURE 9 , 10D–F View FIGURE 10 ). Posterior margin of epigyne straight ( Figs 7D–E View FIGURE 7 , 8G–H View FIGURE 8 ), whereas posterior margin with a depression in A. parvula ( Figs 9D–E View FIGURE 9 , 10G–H View FIGURE 10 ). Spermathecal head not furcated ( Figs 7E View FIGURE 7 , 8H View FIGURE 8 ), whereas furcated into two branches in A. parvula ( Figs 9E View FIGURE 9 , 10H View FIGURE 10 ).

Description. See Li et al. (2012) for both sexes. Habitus, male pedipalp, and epigyne as in Figs 7–8 View FIGURE 7 View FIGURE 8 .
