Key to the Species of the Korean Hestina

1 Dorsal surface of wings greenish white with grey veins and patches in the spring brood ( Fig. 12 ), black with white spots and markings in the summer and autumn broods ( Fig. 3 ), all broods without red ring spots ............... japonica

- Wings greenish white with black stripes and patches, with a series of four or five submarginal red ring spots on both surfaces of hind wing ( Fig. 13 ) in both spring and summer broods ................................................................. assimilis
