Terrestrial trees. Distribution in PILA – 1000 m, mixed forest in transition to low elevation forest. Global distribution: Costa Rica, Panama. Records: D. Solano 5836 ( INB, PMA) .

The above material was determined as being of a currently undescribed species by Nelson Zamora (pers. comm.). This species was identified as an unpublished name in the Manual de Plantas de Costa Rica (Hammel et al., in prep).
