Colletes arenaria Morawitz 1876: 263 –264. Type locality: Bairakum ( Kazakhstan); steppe between Tashkent and Syr-Dar’ya River ( Uzbekistan).

Types. Lectotype, ♂, designated by Kuhlmann & Proshchalykin 2013: 419, Bairakum, Kazakhstan. Paralectotypes: 3 ♀, same locality as lectotype.

Current status. Valid ( Kuhlmann & Proshchalykin 2013).
